Telluride House

Nestled upon a steep hill in the alpine landscape of Telluride, Colorado, a private vacation residence was designed for a New York client.

Each glass pavilion is a 50 x 50ft square that takes on unique characteristics for differing programs. The Guest House is shrouded by trees, the intimacy of the forest outside of the frame establishes privacy.

The pavilions cascade back with the slope of the mountain, revealing panoramic views of the valley from each box. The landscape and geology is framed strategically from the interior giving the residences a view of Ajax Peak to the Southeast and the red geologic outcroppings across the valley.
